Scaleup Video Production

Built for the gap between Startup and Enterprise

Most agencies work for one or the other. Scaleups need something different: a team that doesn't need managing, can handle volume when it spikes, and already knows your brand by the time the next campaign brief lands.

Challenges

The work has
outgrown the team

The company keeps growing, the campaigns keep adding up, and the same few people end up carrying all of it. It usually shows up as one of these four. If two of these sound like yours, you're exactly who we built this for.

“We need 12 assets for this launch”

Launch weeks create a creative backlog one person can't clear. Hero video, social cuts, email banners, sales deck. All due the same Friday.

“Our freelancer disappeared mid-project”

Freelancers work until the exact moment you can't afford them not to. You don't need another person. You need a team with backup built in.

“Investors want a product video by Friday”

Fundraising timelines don't wait for production schedules. We deliver a sample in 48 hours and full videos in days, not weeks.

“We can't justify a creative hire yet”

A senior animator costs £55k to £70k a year, and that's one skill set. We give you six specialists for less than that one salary.

OUR WORK

Our scaleup work,
from Series A to C and beyond

Most of the companies we work with are scaleups. Here's the work with the names attached, from first institutional round to Series E and past it.
Our process

How we approach it

For UI animation project, we kicked things off in Figma, put together a quick animation, then moved into animating the final result. The whole thing took about four weeks, working in batches of 10 to 13 animations each week. We stayed in close touch with Open Money the whole way to make sure everything landed right

Motion credit tracker

Our clients can submit projects and set priority. They can also track how many projects they have left and project progress

Communication channel

We maintain clear communication by creating dedicated Slack channels for each monthly subscription client.

Figma storyboard review

We involve clients in every step and milestone, gathering their opinions and feedback directly through Figma comments.

Why scaleup companies choose Motion

Video production for
series A, B and C companies

You've just raised, and suddenly everyone needs a video. Sales wants a product demo, the CEO wants an investor update, and the next campaign needs twelve assets by month end. What that looks like depends on your stage. See which one matches yours.

Series A

You've just raised
and suddenly everyone needs a video

Post-A, marketing is one or two people carrying an entire company launch. You don't need a content strategy yet. You need one explainer that lives on the homepage, opens every sales deck, and proves the product to your first sales hires in ninety seconds.

Obrizum came to us as a Series A company and started the way most teams at this stage do, with a single video. That first project grew into a two year subscription and more than a hundred videos since, all without adding anyone to their own team.

Typically on your plate at Series A

Flagship explainer for the homepage
Product demo for your first AEs
Launch cut-downs for social and paid

Common fit: Fixed price

from £2,700 per video

Series B

Your product ships faster
than your videos can keep up

By Series B, marketing is a real team with a real problem. The product ships every few weeks, there are more campaigns than people to run them, and every launch needs its own video plus the cut-downs for each channel. One-off projects start to feel slow, because briefing from zero every time is the slow part.

We worked with Primer through exactly this stretch. Three projects since 2023, across three brand evolutions, most recently a launch video built while the new brand guidelines were still being written. Series B usually looks like that, everything moving at once.

Typically on your plate at Series A

Feature launch videos on the roadmap's schedule
Campaign cut-downs for every channel and format
Onboarding videos for a growing customer base

Common fit: Subscription

from £2,920 per month

Series C

Keeping every video on brand
across products and markets

At Series C there's more of everything. More products, more markets, sometimes more languages, and a brand that has to stay recognisable across all of it. Each video is easy enough on its own. Keeping dozens of them consistent across products and markets is the real work.

Gem came to us at this stage and kept coming back, three separate videos so far, each one matching the ones before it, so the library grows without drifting off brand.

Typically on your plate at Series A

Launch videos across every product line
Localised versions for new markets
Event and brand content without a new brief each time

Common fit: Subscription

from £2,920 per month

Series D and beyond

Past Series C
your problems look enterprise now

By Series D, the question isn't whether video works, it's keeping dozens of assets on brand across products, markets, and teams. That's the setup our enterprise clients run, a dedicated team, one workflow, volume without drift. HackerRank and Mirakl both work with us at this scale today.

Typically on your plate at Series D+

Multi-product launch campaigns
Localised versions for every market
A partner your brand team doesn't have to police

Common fit: Subscription or Creative credits
