40+ UI Animations that
enhanced Open Money’s website

Open Money came to us with one vision in mind, to create a website that has great user experience but still managed to deliver important information about their brand and product as a Fintech company, they need to stand out from the crowded market and their first approach is to make their information as readily accessible and as engaging as possible.
This wasn’t just about a fresh logo; it was about crafting a brand and digital presence that matched their ambition, stood out in the competitive AI space, and resonated with their target audience.
Through close collaboration and iterative feedback, we partnered with them to launch their new identity and create a powerful foundation for growth, ensuring their brand reflected their evolution and their goals as a startup.

What they want

Engaging User Experience across all platforms

Open Money came to us with a clear goal and three key projects in mind to achieve it. First, they needed an explainer video to embed at the top of their homepage and grab users’ attention right away. Second, they wanted UI Lottie animations across the site to showcase how their product works in a simple, engaging way. Lastly, they needed a website that would align perfectly with their brand image.

Lottie animation

They wanted to maintain the attention the explainer video grabbed, but adding another video would slow the site. So, they chose UI animations to highlight key information without compromising speed.

Our process

How we approach it

For UI animation project, we kicked things off in Figma, put together a quick animation, then moved into animating the final result. The whole thing took about four weeks, working in batches of 10 to 13 animations each week. We stayed in close touch with Open Money the whole way to make sure everything landed right

Figma storyboard

We use Figma for all the planning to keep the feedback process quick with Figma comments.

Quick animatic

We’ll send a quick 4-frame GIF as an animatic preview. It’s a simple way to show how the final animation will look before moving forward.

Final result

We use LottieFiles to animate lightweight UI animations, which we then send to the Open Money team as JSON files.

1
Communication between our team and clients is super important. That’s why we always encourage clients to be as involved as possible during the planning stage. It helps us get on the same page and make sure we’re all aligned on the vision from the start.
2
We use UI animations with LottieFiles because it’s lightweight and web-friendly. Unlike bulky videos, Lottie animations are delivered as JSON, making them easy to integrate without slowing down the site. This keeps the animations fast and the user experience seamless.
3
We focus on creating clean, modern animations that help guide users through the site. Whether it's highlighting important info or gently nudging them to take action, the goal is to make the experience smooth, engaging, and easy to follow — without overwhelming them.

What happened next!

This was one of our first big full-site revamp projects, so getting on the same page with the Open Money team was key. Their goal was to make the site easier to use and more engaging, so we focused on turning all the important info into clean, lightweight UI animations that kept things moving without slowing anything down.
We didn’t just stick to the homepage either. We helped roll out the animations across the entire site to make sure the experience stayed smooth from start to finish.
